|
Brazil
was last on test promoted by OCDE on students performance of 32
countries. However, Eduardo Fischer, 11 years, shows that in the
future this result can be different.
Eduardo
Fischer, 11 years, is pupil of 7ª grade on State School Monsignor
Scalabrini, on Encantado village at Rio Grande do Sul state. Eduardo
conquered the gold medal in 23ª Brazilian Matemathics Olimpiada,
winning almost 50 thousand students of all the country. These students
are the best in mathematics of the country, being of 5ª grade until
college students!
Eduardo
made 326 of the 30 points disputed in the three tests of the competition,
that started in June and was until October. For the regional coordinator
of the Olimpiada/2001, Claus Haetinger, who follows his pupil since
1999, "as more difficult are questions, plus Eduardo fun. For who
he looks at, he seems that he is playing". When is not solving mathematics
questions or reading, Eduardo likes to play soccer or videogame.
