"Felipão":
brazilian coach under pressure!

Soccer
is still the national sport in Brazil. But there were many people
that contributed for soccer development. Let´s know something
about them?
There are rumours that researchers found on archeological sites
something like a soccer ball
in the ancient China, on 2.500 b.C. (before Christ),
made with animal skin in a kind of sport called "tsu-chou".
In México and Central América - between 600 a.C. a
1600 a.C. (after Christ) was probably created the rubber ball. People
played this ancient games in fields as "L" alphabetic
letter, kicking the ball over wood or iron rings put on high places.
In England, some tales tells that the barbarians played something
like football
with enemies heads! And that was around 12th
century that apppeared something that seems the modern soccer. Only
in 1863 appeared the formal rules of the game.
On USA, in 1600 a.C, American natives played a game called "pasuckuakohowog"
(wow!), that means: "they must play with the feet". The
field was enormous, and almost a thousand people plays. There was
a very violent game, and in the end there were a lot of Indians
with broken legs
In Brazil, soccer was officially introduced on 1894, by Charles
Miller, that brought two official leather balls and uniforms. There
are news too that in 1874 english sailors played ball on the beach,
in Rio de Janeiro
Actuallly soccer is the most played sport
in Brazil
and we expect that soon we will be World Champions
again!!!
Luiz
Felipe, the "Felipão", brazilian coach, under 190
million of eys, is probably now remembering now that old barbarian
games...
