Brazilian president elections are arriving. Elections will be also for president, members of representatives house, senators and state governors. Now, in our television broadcasts, always there are special programs, called "electoral time", which present candidates.

As there are so many candidates of a lot of many minuscle political parties, elections in Brazil becomes a little confuse. Electoral programs are almost funny: there are so many candidates that many of them just have time to show its face, say its name and a single phrase. On programs about president candidates, there is more time. Each candidate can then speak on what he intends to make, and how th understands country problems. Or, sometimes, just to speak badly of the others...

Another thing that is heared a lot at these times is about new results on electoral research. There are companies who are specialized on hearing people groups and ask in who they think about voting, why, etc. Hearing these groups, they project how many people will vote in each candidate, or have the same opinion. Based on these informations, these companies say who seems that will be preferred and must gain the elections.

Problem is that it seems difficult to use the result of two thousand people group answers, as these researchs are done, to say what all voters think. Specially in Brazil, where there are almost 50 million voters... Opinion Researchs usually does not represent truth, but always are divulged onto the press, supposedly to show who will win elections.
So far as researchs gets the truth, actually the candidate "Lula", of Labours Party is in first place. Behind him are Jose Serra, that represents the current government, Ciro Gomes and Anthony Garotinho.

First part of elections will be in October. Depending on the result, it will be a second turn: two more voted candidates will concur again.

Anywho will be the new president, there will be much work ahead: Brazil is in a difficult economic situation, unemployment is growing, many services that were public, as health and education, are abandoned and actually minimum wage is around USS 90 – which helps nobody.
