On this sunday 27 we finally had results on brazilian elections. Results were: Lula, 61,3% and his opponent, the actual govern candidate, Serra, with 38,7%. Let´s know here a few about Lula´s history.

Luis Inacio "Lula" da Silva was born in small village of Guaranhuns, on Pernambuco State, on one of the poorest and dry regions of Brazilian Northeast. When he was five years old, he joined wiht his mother and brothers on a 13 days travel, inside a truck, going to São Paulo. When he was a child, his dream was to be a soccer player.

He tells about his childhood that it was difficult, but happy. Every day food was beans and floor, or, sometimes, a bird or little piggies that he and his brothers hunted. He just eat rice for the first time when he was sick, to heal a stomachache… His dreams at that time were very simple: "When I was a child I dreamed on being a truckdriver. After I wanted to be fireman too."
When he arrived on Sao Paulo, he begun to work as shoeblack. He was 12. Later he studied to work as lathe worker. On 1964 he was blue collar on a metallurgic, where lost a finger on na accident.

At this time Lula wasn´t interested on politics. Only on 1966 he joined to local syndicate and grew up as a local workers leadership.

Brazil at this time was under military government and was really dangerous to make strikes. Lula was arrested once, and his mother died inside this period.
On 1980 Lula become one of the founders on Labours Party (PT).

And now, on 27 october, his birthday, Lula become brazilian president. "Now I wanna be president to make every brazilian have three meals a day, at a minimum, and to have job, health and good education. On our govern, schools will be good, and not one children will be out of them."
