Eight
years ago, Hans Ulrich Koch, a german citizen founded the Music
School of Rocinha. Rocinha is one of the biggest slums on Rio de
Janeiro. This school has formed already almost 300 children and
teenagers, with results as participations on records of great names
on brazilian music and shows abroad. On 2003, for instance, they
will be on Germany. Hans,
formed on Frankfurt Superior School on Music, come to Brazil to
teach and was shcke with the local social gap. He was teaching on
a german school for rich families, exactly in front of a big slum.
He begun a work on Rocinha, with 15 children, made its work known
on Germany and found support to make it grow. Quality on the school is a top issue. All this work brought good results and now there´s a second school, on another slum, Dona Marta, that already has 60 pupils. Sounds good, isn´t it? To
